This game or experience was created during the Science GameJam at the Gothenburg Science Festival, drawing inspiration from the work of Cecilia Lagerström, a professor and scientist specializing in scenic embodiment and design. Cecilia's project delves into the history of the sugar industry in Gothenburg, which played a significant role in the handling of sugar from the colonies and the slavery that accompanied it during the 19th century.

As part of her research, Cecilia discovered the diary of a bride whose husband worked in the sugar trade. Through this diary, she was able to connect the dots in the network surrounding the sugar industry, exploring the places and people impacted by its history.

The game experience serves as an illustration of Cecilia's project, depicting how the bride's privileged position distanced her from the harsh realities faced by those suffering under the sugar industry. She lived in a bubble, focused on stitching projects, tea, cakes, family, and toothaches, with little regard for the wider world beyond her immediate surroundings.
